TEN SMALL PIECES FOR LETTER-BOX
About the project Curators: Svetlana Shlyapnikova (Chelyabinsk), Andrey Suzdalev (Moscow, studio "Alcool") Coordinators: Igor Sorokin (Saratov), Guzel Fayzrakhmanova (Kazan), Marina Sokolovskaya (Ekaterinburg), Evgeny Strelkov (Nizhny Novgorod) Geography: Chelyabinsk, Moscow, Saratov, Engels, Kazan, Ufa, Ekaterinburg, Nizny Novgorod. The first "mail" expositions were in June - October, 2005 when the post cards were plying between the cities. The first "stationary" exhibition was in "21st Century Gallery" (Moscow) in December 19, 2005 - January 18, 2006. Other exhibitions will take place in Ekaterinburg, Saratov, Kazan, Nizny Novgorod in the spring and summer of 2006. 25 artists are participants of this mail art project. Every author produces his/her own finished mini project (from 1 to 10 post cards) - own story that unfolds in a set of items of mail, including author's mail stamps and marks, etc. Reverse side of a post card (in body of letter) can have messages opening idea of an author project or 'parallel" ones that continue visual aspects and texts. Opening day -- February 15 at 18:00. Invitees: Chelyabinsk artists Julia Bezhshtanko, Nikita Vazhenin and Saniya (POSTCARD), Oksana Golubinskaya, Lubov Serova, Victoriya Pitirimova. Konstantin Popov's project was been used in the poster of the exhibition. |
