"Elena Rosyp. Lyrical graphics"
September 13 - October 5, 2001

This is the first personal exhibition of Elena Rosyp, an artist, a poet, a teacher, from the town of Emanzhelinsk (the settlement of Zauralski).

There are about 40 graphic sheets exhibited in the gallery.

Elena Rosyp's method of artistic expression may be defined as a taste for the metaphoric means of the language of graphic arts. Her graphic sheets, performed with the use of the author's unique technique of gel-pen drawing and of the combined linocut-and-monotyping technique, are as highly expressive and rich in content as poetical compositions. Drawn into the circle of her artistic associations is the whole universe of the world culture.

Elena graduated from the Graphic Arts Department of the Magnitogorsk State University (2001), and is a participant in regional art exhibitions of young artists and masters.

She has taught in the Children's School of Arts, graphic arts department, in the settlement of Zauralski since 1996.

Opening day is September 13 at 17.45.

During the exhibition there will be meetings with Elena Rosyp and excursions.

Working time:
on Tuesday - Friday since 12.00 to 19.00,
on Saturday and Sunday since 15.30 to 19.00.
Day off - Monday.
Admission free.
