"Life is like a chess game, in which external circumstances have dozens of queens, but do not see an individual, playing on millions boards. The person, losing is a lot of time in the beginning of game, is powerful because he cannot surrender at hundred mates declared to him. The person is mortal and consequently inevitably loses. But the death is, in fact, a strong move, i.e. post end game, impossible in usual chess game, but feasible in life. When the manager replaces the creator in the person, this is the worst thing, though all take it as recognition, victory, and success. The real win is when all life is lived on rising creative mode, and creative goals pass into universal".

This text was written by Klim Pashnin in 2006, after seventeen years from the date of appearance of his first work. Today, analyzing the artist's creative heritage, evidently he has won "the game of chess". The artist Klim Pashnin, being out of the ordinary, hard-edged, free from conventional obligations sharply, felt keenly reality, investigated, criticized and changed it, without a moment's doubt that this must be done. Experimenting with form, materials and thinking over meaning of life, he has created his own artistic language.

Klim was engaged in many things in his life, but just Art became the alternative space for him, allowing to overstep the bounds of regulated routine of life and giving "intelligence of existence". Artist Klim Pashnin was born from "insuperable desire" to paint a picture where everything, what excites and demands creation, would be embodiedš and thus, above all, to find out in itself. Opening up the space of contemporary art, K. Pashnin passes the way from improvisation forms Árt informel and action painting with their spontaneity and the rejection from figurativeness, reflecting extremely emotional state of the artist, to conceptual artworks with a clear idea.

The exposition will showcase Klim Pashnin's work of various creative periods, from 1989 until 2011.

The exibition will be opened for public
from 1st to 17th of December, 2011.
