About the artist

Valery Khasanov was born in Andizhan (Uzbekistan) in 1966.
In 1988 he has graduate from Art and Graphic Department of Nizhny Tagil State Pedagogical Institute.
Member of Union of Russian Artists (1995).

Valery Khasanov's artworks are in collections of Nizhny Tagil and Ekaterinburg museums of fine arts, the Ekaterinburg office of Culture Fund, the Kurgan regional art museum, gallery "Express-Avant-garde" (Moscow), Andrey Gertsev's gallery (Moscow), in private collections.

Along with painting, Valery Khasanov fruitfully works in different graphic techniques of woodcut and cardboard engraving, linocut, as well technique of dry needle, watercolor, gouache. He is participant of many international biennials and triennials of easel and printed graphic arts in Kaliningrad (Russia, 1991), Ljubljana (Slovenia, 1993), Belgrad (Yugoslavia, 1994), Varna (Bulgaria, 1997), Ufa (Russia, 1998, 2004), Bitole (Republic of Macedonia, 2003).
