March 5 -- 19, 2008

Alexey Stepanov's exhibition opens the project "Reference point". Within March 2008 -- February 2009 the gallery will represent the young artists (debutants) working in various kinds and forms of the contemporary art.

Someone says, that the world is full of the accidents, which have been not connected with themselves, others say that casual events have any sense. And there is the third category, having paid attention on the casual event, will develop it in something especial.

[.random] -- just about it.

[.random] -- some histories happened in imagination of the author, but they could take place and in a reality. Sometimes they are phantasmagoric and surrealistic in something, some of them are art reminiscence and refer to creativity of dadaists, a few ones are romantic and trash.

Alexey's photos made in technique of serigraphy on glass return us to their first analogues -- daguerreotypes. Only the opportunity of today's instant imprint not idyllic landscapes and solemnly posing people from (in) the validity, but a set of plots, at first sight, "chosen at random".
