Oleg E. Elovoy (1967-2001)

Painter, graphic artist, designer, art action maker, creator of installations, poet.

Was born in Ilansky town šof Krasnoyarsk krai in 1967.

In 1991 he graduated from of design branch of the Sverdlovsk Architectural Institute.

Member of informal associations "Basik" (1988), "Eurocon" (1995), "Union of Good Artists " (1996). In 1995 Oleg created "Museum of Simple Art of Ural and Siberia" in his house-studio (34, October Revolution St.), gathered an unique collection of works of naive and nonprofessional artists.

In cooperation with Television Agency of Ural (TAU) Oleg Elovoy organized three regional competitions of non-traditional jeweller art: "Master Nail" (1997), "Spoon is farther" (1998) and "Artificial can" (1999), and also the action "My small stool" (2000) in that participants built works of art from elementary waste materials.

From 1988 a participant of city, All-Russia and international exhibitions.

Died in Berre-les-Alpes.

Works are in Ekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts, Ekaterinburg Gallery of Contemporary Art, Museum of Simple Art of Ural and Siberia in Zarechny town (Sverdlovsk oblast), in State Russian House of Folk Arts in Moscow, Orenburg Museum of Fine Arts, in collection of Franco-Russian House in Berre-les-Alpes (France), in private collections in Russia and abroad.
